For much of the Twentieth century, following the foundational work of the German philosopher and Psychiatrist Karl Jaspers, there was a small but significant stream of publications in phenomenology and other areas of philosophy relevant to all areas of mental health and well-being (including psychiatry, psychology and the cognitive and neurosciences). Since the early 1990s this small stream has become something of a torrent with a growing number of publications including several new journals and book series.
