Philosophy, Psychiatry & Psychology (PPP) is a quarterly international journal from the Johns Hopkins University Press published in cooperation with: The Association for the Advancement of Philosophy and Psychiatry, The Philosophy Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and The International Network for Philosophy and Psychiatry.
PPP publishes peer-reviewed articles on all aspects of interdisciplinary work in philosophy and mental health.
- Feature articles – Each issue includes three or more substantial original research articles on topical issues in philosophy and mental health
- Debates – Many main articles are paired with cross-disciplinary commentaries and responses from the authors
- Special issues – PPP offers regular special issues guest edited by experts in different areas of the cross-disciplinary field
- Reviews – PPP publishes review articles drawing together key developments in specific areas
- Key Concepts – PPP’s Key Concepts feature articles provide focussed introductions and guides to further reading by experts on key concepts in the developing field of philosophy and mental health

Advisory Board
PPP’s Advisory Board supports the editorial team as needed on any issues concerning the overall direction and management of the journal. The Founder Chair of the Advisory Board was Baroness Warnock. Its current Chair is John Sadler.

Contributor Information
PPP welcomes submission of feature articles via the Scholar One website.
All contributions to PPP are subject to editorial and blinded peer review. PPP is subject to the governance procedure and code of ethics of its publisher, Johns Hopkins University Press (JHUP)

PPP publishes Feature Articles, many with cross-disciplinary commentaries and responses from authors, and Key Concepts and Review articles. Commentaries, responses to commentaries, key concept and review articles, are normally commissioned by the editors. Proposals for special issues are also welcome and should be made by way of the INPP contact facility (see below).

Subscribing to PPP ensures you receive your regular quarterly update on the latest developments in the field
AAPP and the UK-based Philosophy Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists launched PPP in 1994. The (US) Johns Hopkins University Press owns the journal and requires a US-based organization to anchor editorial offices and activities.
Royalties arising from subscription income are paid to AAPP and applied to the editorial and other costs of managing the journal. AAPP organizational funds, in addition to royalty income, also subsidize the journal’s production.
Individual subscriptions to PPP remain an essential source of financial support for the journal.
